summer10The School of the Americas (SOA) is a combat training school for Latin American soldiers, located at Fort Benning, Georgia. The purpose of ¡Presente! is to give updates about the state of the campaign to close the SOA, to provide information and analysis about events and developments in the Americas and to get more people involved in the work to change oppressive U.S. foreign policy and to end the racist system of violence and domination.

Roughly every other month, the Franciscan JPIC office in Rome produces a newsletter called CONTACT. This publication covers a broad range of justice issues from a Franciscan perspective, and includes information about activities and meetings throughout the world. Geared primarily toward OFM friars, it’s a great animation tool, with wide variety of useful articles, photos, and news briefs.
